VR Ballpit

Ignoring all the misguided hype and incorrectly labeled buzzwords of the 'Metaverse', XR (VR/AR/MR) is going to be one of the most prevalent technologies of our future.


I've started to kearn to build on this tech with my first application being a VR Ball pit for the Quest 2 headset.


I've used the Unity development platform to build this application and what a fantastic tool the makers of Unity have put in our hands. Their online tutorials are comprehensive and have customisable paths to get you up and running in no time.


The following video is me throwing my arms around and exploring the space in my office. It's just a proof of concept, but was also built in a day using Unity. I can't talk up the power of that platform enough.
