The following is a deepfake test that I created using an open source PHP based application called Avatarify.
It only took a couple of hours to pull together and whilst it's not perfect, it's a real demonstration of how far this can go. You can only imagine how good some people can make these with a little bit more effort and know-how.
The Avatarify open source package has some very comprehensive and simple instructions to follow. It's surprising how easy it was to set up.
The future is going to be both amazing and horrifying depending on who is holding the pen.
